West Alabama is growing in diversity and population. Located in west central Alabama and bordering the State of Mississippi, the tri-county region lies strategically within a half days driving distance of all major markets in the southeast.  From the north of the area, Corridor X (Memphis to Birmingham interstate) is within 30 minutes and from the south, Interstate 59/20 is a short 30-minute drive.  Bisecting  the center of the region, is U.S. Highway 82 (four-lane) which is a major east-west travel route.
