Local municipalities and utilities provide industrial water and sewer services. Major expansions creating additional capacity in water and sewer systems are currently underway or have been completed. There are numerous large industrial users currently operating within the local systems.



Three large distributors within the region provide natural gas service. The Pickens County Natural Gas District, the Lamar County Gas District and the Northwest Alabama Gas District offer competitive rates for industry. All three systems currently provide gas service to industrial users.
